With the Weather warning service you will be prepared for any emergency situation where you live.
What the weather warning service includes
This service will warn you and notify you when major (orange alert) or extreme (red alert) rain and/or wind events are expected in the area where you have your main home insured.
In the event of a notification, we will send you an email that will include detailed information:
- Type of phenomenon expected.
- Alert level.
- Percentage of probability of occurrence.
- Start and end dates of the phenomenon.
- The data used for the weather forecasts are obtained from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
To minimise risks and avoid danger as far as possible.
In order to follow the evolution of weather forecasts. In the cases classified as red alert level, we will also send you the warning by SMS.
Frequently asked questions
To be able to use the Weather Alerts service, you must have taken out your main home insurance policy with Occident.
You don't have to do anything. This service will be automatically included in your policy while it is in force.
